playerHADYN says at the 4hero board Alice Coltrane has passed away.
Info is said to be coming from Flying Lotus' blog, but haven't found that yet. Neither have I found any info on news / jazz websites ... allaboutjazz / bbc.co.uk / google news ...
Anyone knows more???
....

So far, no word on Alice Coltrane.
Unfortunately, we've lost another jazz veteran today...

Oh, a sad day yet again. I wasn't too familiar with Alice Coltrane's music, but to loose another member of the Coltrane family is touching.
Brecker Brothers was one of my first acquaintances when I started to really find my way to jazz. I never got to see Michael live in Finland. One time I was there, but Randy played without his brother.
His albums as a leader, Two Blocks from the Edge & Neaness of You I liked the most.
Michael had a true influence on me.
RIP both.
So, when will there be another edition of the R2R? |

Sad, sad news.
Searched around for it yesterday too, but couldnt find anything then.
I hoped it wasnt so, but it looks like it is.
She had a new CD coming out in february (possibly delayed) called 'Sacred Language
of Ascension'.
(ps: getting a login screen when i follow your link cream.)
