Nice one Rico. I really enjoyed the gig. Thought Les Fleurs was a nice nod to the 4Hero influences and sounded fantastic. Surprised at the relatively low turn out; but always feel like seeing a 'project' like the Heritage Orchestra is quite a rare and very rewarding thing these days. 10 strings, Finn Peters on flute, the trombones getting into it towards the end... liked the Handelsbeurs venue.
Lemsco, I was looking for you; but we obviously missed each other. Thanks for the response. Next time I will make sure it happens, as Gent seems to be a fantastic place I want to see more of in the evening. (Apart from 'Video' where we finished the evening ) |

AMAZING, that's what it was. Blaxploitation funk, ambient soul and nujazz breaks in classic(al) arrangements, and heavy guests Stuart McCallum and Finn Peters. Truly a night to remember, so thanks a lot for the vids Riconova! |

Amazing indeed, loved also every second of it and thanks for the vids! The only thing that I can complain was it to last a little longer (it was around an hour or so). Just to recall here that Mccallum and Cinematics will be in Brussels on the 23rd of April (together with Briskey Big Band): http://www.abconcerts.be/concerts/concertinfo.html?c=101616 |

In sidelines, just got back from McCoy Tyner´s gig at Flagey and I must say I was amazed, this guy being quite old (80 next year) and moving with obvious difficulties, but once he touched the piano...wow! He really still had t h a t feeling, that I actually did not get with Herbie´s gig few months ago (very sterile imho). You still have a chance to see him tomorrow@Flagey in Brussels (and there seemed to be empty places even for first concert), go get to see cos´ this guy won´t be back, I guess (like many of the greats unfortunately). |

yeah, i managed to catch them a couple of years ago at Montreux ... great memories indeed. I remember them having Chris Bowden on sax too. And the mighty Dwight Trible on vocals! Amazing scenes
